Lahore: All schools to remain closed tomorrow

Lahore: All schools, public and private will remain closed tomorrow, th2 28th of September, on account of the Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh.

According to a notice issued by the Punjab Government, Provincial Minister of Punjab for School Education Murad Raas has made a post on microblogging website Twitter, declaring all schools closed for tomorrow, 28th September.

Murad Raas’ tweet states: “All Public and Private Schools of Lahore to remain closed tomorrow 28th September, 2021 for the Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh. This is only for Lahore.” Things will resume as normal from the next day.

It is to be noted that the three-day celebrations of the 978th annual Urs of Hazrat Ali bin Usman Hajveri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), started off yesterday on Sunday and will continue till tomorrow.

Strict security measures were taken on the occasion and the Main Multan Road from Civil Secretariat to Bhatti Chowk was closed off for all kinds of traffic.
