Lahore, 23rd March: The Punjab government has accepted the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to deploy Rangers for the upcoming hearing of the PML-N vice president.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, the Punjab government has accepted NAB’s plea for making special security arrangements during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz on March 26.

Punjab’s cabinet committee on law and order has approved the plea and declared the NAB office a red zone.

It has also ordered the deployment of Rangers and police personnel outside the NAB Lahore office on March 25 and 26.

Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat clearly said in a statement that strict measures will be taken against those disturbing law and order situation and no one would be allowed to violate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19.

According to reports, earlier, NAB had written a letter to the home ministry to deploy Rangers on March 26 at NAB’s Lahore office in order to avoid any unforeseen incident during the appearance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz.

It is to be noted that the anti-corruption watchdog had summoned PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz for questioning in two cases on March 26.

Meanwhile, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that the PDM workers will accompany Maryam Nawaz in a rally for her hearing to express solidarity with her.
