Lalu Prasad’s health now stable

India: Health of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad has improved. He is currently admitted at RIMS Ranchi. Lalu Prasad was rushed to the hospital on Thursday evening when his health suddenly worsened and he complained of breathlessness.

The veteran politician from Bihar has been battling several ailments for a long time.

His daughter, Misa Bharti reached RIMS in the afternoon.

Later, his sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, alongwith his wife Rabri Devi also reached Ranchi and met him at the hospital.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Tejashwi Yadav said his father has tested negative for Covid-19 but reports of some other tests are awaited. “My brother, mother and I will go to Ranchi to see him,” he had said.

On Thursday, doctors treating Lalu Prasad said he has developed an infection in his lungs. “The Treatment is going on. This is a kind of pneumonia. We have consulted with the HOD of lungs department of AIIMS,” Dr Kameshwar Prasad, Director, RIMS had said.
