Leading Bollywood music director loses life at 43

India,1st June: Leading Bollywood musician duo Sajid-Wajid’s musician and actor Wajid Ali has died at the age of 43.

A tweet on a Twitter handle of Indian showbiz account Planet Marathi on the social networking website said that the famous Bollywood music director of Wajid Khan passed away today at the age of 43 years. He was suffering from COVID-19

Wajid Ali Khan was the son of renowned drummer Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan. Wajid Ali Khan along with his brother Sajid Ali Khan started his career as a film composer in 1998 with Salman Khan’s movie ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kiya’.

Wajid Khan, 43, also composed music for two songs filmed on Salman Khan and worked with Salman in the superhit movies Dabangg, Ek Tha Tiger and Wanted.

The music of famous songs composed by Sajid and Wajid also includes songs of the famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan ‘Sureeli Akhiyon Wali’, ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ and ‘Nainaan Dagha Baaz Re’.

 

The two brothers have won several awards for their songs composition.
