According to the report of Baaghi TV, the hearing of the suo motu notice regarding the lease of petrol pumps in the Supreme Court was adjourned for 2 weeks.

The court sought details of leases along GT Roads across the country, as well as land given to petrol pumps, hotels and restaurants. The court ordered to submit all the records leased to whom on what terms and since when.

The court also sought details of all licenses issued by the NHA. The court summoned the chairman NHA in person, notices were also issued to the Attorney General and Advocate General of Punjab.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed said that GT Road is not owned by NHA, how can NHA lease land if it does not own it. Attorney Highway Authority said the 220-foot space on the side of the road belongs to the NHA.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan said that the land given to NHA for construction, repair and extension of road would be nullified if the rules of NHA were violated.
