Followings allegations of sexual harassment by students of Lahore Grammer School (LGS), against multiple male teachers and custodial staff, the school authority has decided to form an investigative committee.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, a few students of LGS have taken a brave and much-needed step, and come forward with the allegations of sexual harassment, which they had experienced through the actions of their male teachers and other staff during their time in LGS.
Many of the girls who came forward, study at LGS 1-A/1, and called out the so called teachers, whom they have been harassed by in classes, in the auditorium, in the canteen, et cetera. One case came forward, in which the victim asked the administration of the school to take some action against her teacher, Sir Warraich who harassed her but was ultimately shut down by Miss Maira Rana (wife of Pakistani actor Omair Rana) and Mrs. Shakil in order to protect their school’s reputation.
Following these allegations including an extensive and detailed testimony by the former Head Girl, the school administration has finally decided to look into the matter. According to reports of Baaghi TV, the committee to be formed will include: Mr. Ghyas Sabir, Principal of the Govt. Islamia High School, as the convener as well as Deputy District Education, Mr. Shahid Ali Shah, and Deputy District Education Officer, Mst. Sadia Nseem as the members.

A notice has been issued by the Assistant Director (Admin) in this regard who has requested the committee to “probe into the matter, dig out the facts and submit fact finding report” within the next three days.
