Mainstreaming madrassas will open new avenues for students: COAS

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa said the mainstreaming of madrassas (religious seminaries) will open new avenues for religious students, after meeting high grade achievers in Ittehad-e-Tanzeemate-Madaris Pakistan (ITMP) from across the country on Wednesday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met high grade achievers in Ittehad-e-Tanzeemate-Madaris Pakistan (ITMP) from across the country on Wednesday at General Headquarters (GHQ) and efforts to bring the religious seminaries students in mainstream national education system will open new avenues for seminaries students and provide opportunities to excel in contemporary careers.

As many as 13 students including 4 girls, who achieved top positions in various boards met COAS General Bajwa, ISPR has said in a statement.

The Army Chief congratulated students on their success in various disciplines and emphasized the need for hard-work to attain excellency and contribute for the progress of the Pakistan. COAS General Bajwa also lauded efforts and commitment of parents and teachers for providing right environment to the students, helping achieve them such distinctions and distributed prizes among students.
