Pakistan’s representative to the UN, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, shared her opinion on the escalating tensions in Kashmir. Lodhi, on Saturday, August 3, 2019, criticized India for making attempts to alter the demographic situation of Kashmir. She also pointed towards Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s letter to the UN secretary general containing details of India’s atrocities in Kashmir and its violations of the ceasefire agreements at the line of control (LOC).

The envoy also mentioned that members of the UN security Council have also been notified about Pakistan’s concerns over the situation through Qureshi’s letter.
Lodhi through her tweet endorsed the stance of Ali Amin Gandapur, Minister of Kashmir Affairs, who commented of Indian troop buildup, saying that India is conspiring to create demographic shift in Kashmir, but the evil attempts will go in vain and the passion of Kashmiris towards freedom will win.
