LAHORE (Baaghi TV): The Sessions Court has granted interim bail to actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed in a case of filming for their music video at Wazir Khan Mosque.

Last month, an Additional Sessions Judge in Lahore’s Sessions Court heard the bail pleas of actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed, both of whom were absent due to security concerns.

His lawyers had pleaded with the court that their lives were in danger so they could not come to the court, so their presence should be waived. The court, while hearing the case, had ordered to grant an apology to both the artists.

On this occasion, the counsel for the plaintiff had objected that the accused must be present in the court in the interim application and the court should reject the application for pardon and also remove the bail application of both.

The court granted Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed’s plea for pardon and summoned them for hearing on September 3 and extended their interim bail till September 3.

However, the case against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed was heard in the Lahore Sessions Court today (September 3rd) on the issue of their music video recording at Wazir Khan Mosque. Additional Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Ali heard the case.

Actress Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed reached the court and completed their attendance. After hearing the arguments of the lawyers, the court reserved the verdict of the case.

Later, the court passed a safe verdict and granted interim bail to Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed. The judge remarked that the court confirms the interim bail of both the accused and the verdict will be decided in the trial.

It should be noted that Pakistani singer Bilal Saeed and actress Saba Qamar had a controversy over the shooting of the new song ‘Qabool Hai’ in the historic mosque, including famous religious and political figures weighing in on the debate after the dance video went viral. The public was outraged and demanded that the government take legal action against the two artists.

After which Akbari Gate Police Station registered a case against actress Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed under Section 295. The case was registered on the complaint of Farhat Manzoor Khan Advocate. It was said in the FIR that actress Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed violated the sanctity of the mosque, so strict action will be taken against the two artists and the officials of the mosque administration and the endowment department, on which the court had ordered to file a case against them after a preliminary hearing.

Both the artists later apologized for hurting the public and assured that they would remove these scenes from the video of the song. Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar’s song ‘Qabool Hai’ was released on August 12, in which Lahore Scenes filmed at the historic Wazir Khan Mosque were not included.
