According to Baaghi TV report, hearing of mega money laundering reference in accountability court in Islamabad has been adjourned till September 9.
All the accused, including former president Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur, will be indicted on September 9. Former President Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur’s request for exemption from attendance was accepted today. The hearing was conducted by Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Azam Khan.
NAB prepares additional reference in money laundering case against former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur. The reference includes the statements of both and the most important evidence obtained during the interrogation. The supplementary reference has been prepared in the light of the investigation from Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

Statements of Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur while the most important evidence has been made part of the reference. The mega money laundering case was transferred from FIA Karachi to NAB. The accountability court is conducting trial against 30 accused including Asif Zardari on initial challan. The NAB had arrested Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur in the case and later released them on bail by the Islamabad High Court.
Earlier, the accountability court indicted former president Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane reference. Former President Asif Ali Zardari has denied any wrongdoing in court, saying he rejects all charges. After the indictment, Asif Zardari and Accountability Court Judge Azam Khan had an argument.
Asif Zardari, while talking to the judge, said that you should write that the lawyer was in the Supreme Court, yet you indicted me. If you let ruling say that there is no lawyer, then you fight your own case.
Judge Azam Khan said, “Should I see ruling? No lawyer can be forcibly summoned to court, you should not ask me for ruling.” To this Asif Zardari said that when I appeared before you, I will also ask you for ruling.
Juge said that the court inquired whether you had committed fraud by taking an illegal loan through the front company Parthenon. To which former President Asif Ali Zardari replied that he rejects all the allegations.
