Mohamed Salah is expected to return to training with Liverpool on Tuesday as he looks forward to recover from the defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final against Egypt.

According to the details, Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp is delighted to welcome the football star back on the team along with Sadio Mane. Both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane faced off in the AFCON on Sunday night, with Mane’s Senegal needing penalties to get the better of Salah’s Egypt in Cameroon.

Both players are reported to be assessed by Liverpool when they return to the United Kingdom (UK), with a possibility of one or both featuring in Thursday’s Premier League meeting with Leicester City but the manager already knows that they won’t be back at the same time in light of their recent workload and and heavy travel itinerary.

Although Liverpool coped pretty well with the absence of both the players, winning two Premier League games, able to reach the Carabo Cup final at the expense of Arsenal and proceeding to the FA Cup fifth round, the team still looks forward to having Salah and Mane back on their team as they are scheduled to play four more competitions.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s weekend FA Cup game against Cardiff City, Klopp acknowledged the winner of the AFCON would likely to return to Anfield later than whichever man ended up on the losing side.

There is also an expectation that post-victory celebrations will keep Mane out of commission a little longer than Salah, though both should still be in contention for the Leicester game.
