Motorway Rape Case: Accused held on a 14-day judicial remand

Lahore, 15th September: A 14- day judicial remand of the accused in the Motorway rape Case has been accepted at the Lahore Court.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the court has sent the accused of Lahore Motorway Rape Case on judicial remand for an identification parade.
ATC Administrative Judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta conducted the hearing. In the motorway abuse case, the accused was produced before the court. However, the main accused Abid is yet to be arrested on the indication of accused Shafqat.

The court asked Shafqat, the accused, “Tell me, do you have anything to say?” On this, the accused Shafqat asked the court to release him.
Judge Arshad Hussain said that your DNA has been matched. If you have not done anything, you will be released. The court ordered that the accused be produced again on September 29.
Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion of the main accused’s appearance in the court, and a heavy contingent of police was deployed around the court. The accused was brought to the court under tight security, the accused’s face was covered with cloth and presented.

Accused Shafqat, who was arrested from Depalpur yesterday, had confessed to the crime. Shafqat, 33, hails from Haroonabad Tehsil, Bahawalnagar District.
According to police, Shafqat’s SIM was being used by his brother-in-law. Accused Shafqat robbed the woman on the motorway and then confessed to the ugly act of rape in front of the children and confirmed that the other main accused was Abid Malhi.
According to the police, Shafqat has been involved in the incident with Abid. The police had arrested Shafqat from Depalpur area, who he has confessed to the crime.

During the interrogation, accused Waqar Al-Hassan gave information about Shafqat. Accused Waqar al-Hassan turned himself to the CIA police.
It may be recalled that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar and IG Punjab Inam Ani had identified two accused Abid and Waqarul Hassan involved in the motorway abuse case.
On the other hand, the main accused in the case of rape of a woman on the motorway has not been arrested yet. Police also detained Abid’s brother-in-law and other relatives. Raids are underway to arrest the main accused.
A few days ago, a horrific incident of rape and robbery has been re[sorted on Lahore motorway. a woman was gang-raped in from of her three children and later looted by two men.
