Lahore, 2nd June: Mubasher Lucman sends out a very effective message in his latest video on his YouTube channel today.
According to the leading anchor, there has been a non serious approach towards Pandemic by the government. We have been criticized for highlighting the inefficiency of the government’s departments in handling of the affairs during lockdown.
There is a miscommunication between Federal and provincial governments which is very evident at every step, may it be decision of closing borders or decision of proper lockdown.
Lucman points out that Pakistan was lucky in the sense that we knew about the virus before the actual outbreak but our negligence has proved pivotal in spread of the disease.
Provincial government of Baluchistan blames Federal government for allowing border opening and entry of virus careers. On the other hand Federal Government blames provincial government for not handling people coming from Iran.
The quarantine centers were so gruesome that nobody would like to stay there and hygene conditions were so poor that anyone infected would risk effecting all.

As far as resources are concerned if the government had planned properly schools and colleges were free and they could have been converted into quarantine and serve the purpose in a better fashion.
Doctors and hospitals handling corona effectees could have helped ristricting the outbreak if proper SOPs were followed while handling the patients.
Lucman states that confusion was at its peak when provincial governments were announcing lockdowns and federal government was thinking about poor people and opposing any serious lockdown.
Mubasher Lucman informs that if the situation had been handled properly in May by now we would have seen the end of the pandemic. Neither did we learn from the situation in London and different cities of US, where the pandemic increased due to local transport network. Alas here we are allowing visitors from different cities using local transport and travelling freely.
Mubasher Lucman claims that COVID-19 will change our lifestyles
At this point in time everybody is at risk of catching infection which is dangerous but we do not need to worry and take preventative measures, use masks, wash hands and keep proper social distancing.
Examples are available where affected patients have recovered and now leading a healthy life Governor Imran and senator Saeed Ghani are worth mentioning here.
We have to learn and coexist with COVID till some cure is found and preventive measures have to be seriously implemented as precaution. Many claims are made for finding the cure but nothing is final till WHO department of health confirms the authenticity, till then it is only money making fiasco.
We have to be responsible and have proper check before traveling internationally as it is good be safe than sorry and if we do not show proper responsible behavior other countries can take aggressive approach and ban Pakistani’s entry.
Lucman ends his video on a message that the famous saving prevention is better than cure has to be taken seriously. It is expected even when the vaccine is found it would be expensive for a normal family of 4 people with an average cost of Rs 2000, so they would find it hard to get vaccinated.
Lucman stresses the need to help government by becoming a responsible citizen and observe social distance as discipled nation that is the need of the hour.
