Navy Sailing Club Case: Chief of Naval Staff, AG, Chairman CDA put on notice

ISLAMABAD, July 16 (Online Int’l): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while issuing a notice to the Chief of Naval Staff, the Attorney General (AG) and Chairman CDA on the petition filed against the construction of a sailing club along river dam bank has called a reply from them till July 23.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Athar Minallah took up the case for hearing Thursday.

The CJ remarked during the  course of hearing that the case is of important nature therefore the Attorney General should assist the court on next hearing.

Ms Zainab Janjua Advocate represented the petitioner in the court.

The court while issuing notice to Chief of Naval Staff directed him to file reply in writing in the court. The court directed that chairman CDA should appoint an officer to visit the site. The CDA should inform the court, under what authority the land was allotted.

The counsel for the petitioner told the court it  has come to her knowledge through media that land has been allotted to Pakistan NAVY. The picture of the navy club has also been attached with the petition. The court while directing to fix the petition along with the Pakistan Naval farms case for a hearing on July 23, adjourned the hearing till July 23.
