NCOC meeting, guidelines issued against Omicron variant

A meeting of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) was conducted under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Omar. NCOC Coordinator Major General Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Faisal Sultan attended the meeting. Provincial Health Ministers and Chief Secretaries participated through video link. The meeting focused on the epidemic data chart, national vaccine strategies, and the spread of the disease across the country. Briefings were given on Corona case rates, outbreaks, number of deaths, and new patients. The NCOC discussed the process of vaccination by city. The NCOC agreed to take strict measures regarding the mandatory vaccination system. It was said in the NCOC meeting that teams should be deployed for vaccination of citizens in public places and a special campaign would be launched from today. Provinces and concerned authorities were directed to adopt a zero-tolerance policy on the mandatory vaccination systems.
