NDMA efforts in containment of COVID-19, locust attack lauded by governor Sindh
KARACHI, July 14 (Online): , Governor Sindh Sindh Imran Ismail has appreciated NDMA for employing ceaseless efforts to contain coronavirus and eradicate locust.
He said this during a meeting with The Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal who called on the former at governor house Karachi.
During the meeting the steps taking to control coronavirus, eradication of locusts and other matters were discussed.
Governor Sindh was briefed by the chairman NDMA on this count. .
Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal said that the NDMA is playing an effective role across the country to eradicate the locust and locust completely eradicated from Punjab, while actions are taking in the districts of Sindh to wipe out locust.
He stated that assistance is being extended to Sindh government in all respects and NDMA will continue to play its role till improvement is witnessed in the situation.
He further informed the governor that NDMA will also provide five hundred twenty five (525) beds to 6-hospital of Karachi including Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Sindh Qatar Hospital.
