No Law Against the Quran and Sunnah can Pass in my Presence, Asad Qaiser
ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that no law can made against the Qur’an and Sunnah as long as he is in charge.
During the National Assembly session, Jamaat-e-Islami member Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali objected to the bill to stop domestic violence stating yestetday that it should be put on the agenda sent to be sent to the Islamic Ideology Council, but that did not occur and was removed from the agenda today.
Explaining the reason for non-presentation of the bill with amendments approved by the Senate in the National Assembly session, Speaker Asad Qaiser said that the bill has been adjourned till Monday for further consultation and reading by both the opposition and government. Some legal opinion was needed. The bill will be sent to the council soon, he said.
He further said that no law can be made against the Qur’an and Sunnah in his presence. The Prime Minister has also given clear instructions that no law can be made that goes against the Qur’an and Sunnah.
