‘No more excuses’ on letting in Gaza aid, Annalena Baerbock | Baaghi TV

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, on Friday, said that the Israeli government had “no more excuses” to delay aid entry into Gaza.

The statement came after the Israeli government said it would open more aid routes into the Palestinian territory. 

Taking to the social networking website, X (formerly Twitter), Baerbock wrote: “The people in Gaza need every aid package now… We expect the Israeli government to implement its announcements quickly”.

The German Foreign Minister further wrote, “No more excuses”. 

On the other hand, Israel on Friday announced that it would allow “temporary” aid deliveries into famine-threatened northern Gaza, hours after the US hinted at a “sharp shift” in its policy on the ongoing war in Gaza, reported Al Arabiya.

On Thursday, US President Joe Biden told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the US policy on Israel is dependent on the protection of civilians and aid workers in the Gaza region. Shortly after, in the night, Israel announced it would open more aid routes. According to a summary of their call, President Biden said: “The strikes on humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable”.

Likewise, Antony Blinken a top US diplomat informed reporters: “If we don’t see the changes that we need to see, there’ll be changes in our own policy”. 

In a statement issued by Netanyahu’s office, it was said: “Israel will allow the temporary delivery of humanitarian aid”. 

It is pertinent to mention that since October 7, Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have killed approximately 33,037 people as confirmed by the Health Ministry in Gaza.
