June 22, 2021: Nokia said its employees could choose to work three days a week with an increase in flexible working hours from January after the end of its current work from home working policy ends in December.

The Finnish telecom equipment maker conducted a survey of its employees late last year and the majority said they wanted to work two to three days a week on average, two days before coronavirus pandemic. “Organizations dealing with epidemics have been forced to change,” said Pekka Lundmark, chief executive.

Offices in Dallas, Singapore and Budapest have already been restructured, and more sites are expected to be completed by the end of this year as Nokia follows companies from around the world to choose more hybrids to operate after the pandemic.

Followed Renault and Stellantis, carmakers that make Puegeot and Citroen cars, have signed agreements with workers to allow employees to work from home three days a week.
