LAHORE (19th Sept, 2020): Non-arrest of main accused even after 10 days of motorway incident is a question mark on government’s performance, Reham Khan.

According to Baaghi TV, Reham Khan has expressed concern over the non-arrest of Abid, the main accused in the motorway abuse case, within ten days and has sharply criticized the government.

Reham Khan said on social networking site Twitter that the non-arrest of the main accused Abid even 10 days after the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway incident is a big question mark on the performance of the police and the government.

It should be noted that the accused in the motorway abuse case could not be apprehended by the police even after ten days. All efforts by the police are going in vain. The accused is roaming free in different cities and the accused escapes before the police raid despite issuing sketches in 6 different forms.

According to reports, the police released various sketches about the possible transformation of the accused, showing different forms of Abid Ali. In one photo, Abid’s hair was removed, while in another, he was shown with a mustache. One sketch shows a clean shave and the other shows a French cut beard. According to the police, the accused can look like anyone.

Earlier, the police had also issued a number to report accused Abid. The Punjab government has also fixed a reward of Rs 2.5 million for the person who informs the accused.

On the other hand, on receiving information about the main accused, the police raided 5 places but the accused escaped. On the information of accused Abid, raids were also carried out in Nankana, however, no arrest was made. Accused Abid also managed to escape from Kasur area. Police also raided Qila Sattar Shah and Sahiwal areas of Sheikhupura but could not catch the accused. An attempt to arrest accused Abid also failed in Karol Ghati area of ​​Lahore. According to police sources, Abid has also been staying in Jamshoro, Buner and Hangu areas, in view of which police teams have been dispatched to Sindh and KP.

The main accused Abid Malhi had also escaped by evading the police in Nankana Sahib yesterday. Yesterday, the mother-in-law of Abid Malhi, the main accused in the motorway rape case, had claimed that his brother-in-law had come to meet him at 4 pm today. The main accused’s sister-in-law Kishwar Bibi claimed in her statement that Abid had come to meet her around 4 pm today. Abid asked me who are these people in the house? Abid asked me to meet him in the park. He informed his neighbor about this. He informed the police. When the police came to arrest Abid, he fled. The police also followed Abid.

Kishwar Bibi said that Abid’s appearance was bad, his clothes were torn, his shoes were also broken. We have no relationship with Abid. Abid kidnapped my sister 4 years ago and forcibly married her. My sister has 4 children from her first marriage, we have 3 and she has one daughter.

Police blocked the identity cards of the main accused Abid and his wife. The accused could not produce any documents due to the blocking of the identity cards.

It should be noted that a very tragic incident of gang rape of a woman on the motorway took place in Gujjarpura area of ​​Lahore. Two men smashed a car window on the motorway and pulled the woman and her children out, then took them to nearby bushes and allegedly raped the woman in front of the children.

A woman from Gujranwala was on her way to Gujranwala from Lahore. She was waiting for her husband after stopping her car on the motorway due to running out of petrol. The woman initially called one of her relatives who then called the motorway police.

The woman received a reply on the Motorway Helpline that no one has been allotted the Gujratpura bait yet and the Motorway Police has not come. Before the arrival of the relatives, two persons raped the woman. The accused also took Rs 100,000 in cash, gold jewelry and ATM cards from the woman.
