It may be recalled that on Tuesday, Islamabad police had stated on Twitter that traces of blood of the victim were found on the shirt of Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in Noor Muqaddam murder case.

During the hearing in the court of Additional Sessions and District Judge Ata Rabbani on Wednesday, an objection was raised on the explanatory statement made by the police regarding the case. Asad Jamal objected that the statement was made by the Inspector General (IG) police, whether it is the IG or the chief secretary who is subordinate to him. The prosecutor said that this explanation was not given by the IG but by the police. During the conversation, Judge Ata Rabbani said, “Let me see in this case, let’s see what the IG has said in his explanation.”

It is to be noted that during the interrogation of the investigating officer of the main accused Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer Sikandar Zulqarnain at the last hearing, it was revealed that fingerprint marks were not found on the pistol and knife in the forensic report while answering the lawyer’s question. The officer stated that there were no traces of blood on the body of the main accused at the time of arrest.
