Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic won a record-breaking 20th Grand Slam and sixth Wimbledon title on Sunday.

He defeated his Italian rival Matthew Brittini by four sets to win the men’s Wimbledon tennis championship.

Novak Djokovic has 20 Grand Slam titles to his name, tying him with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and now needs only one more win in New York to cement his reputation as the greatest player in the sport’s history.

When Matteo Berrettini roused himself from a cautious start to snatch the opening set against the flow of play, he created a stir in the audience. However, he was merely capitalising on Djokovic’s own early fears, which we had previously seen in similar context.

Novak Djokovic, the real Novak Djokovic, stood up at the start of the second set and stayed put until he had completed his 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 triumph with a Berrettini slice that failed to clamber over the net.
