Lahore, 8th February: Climbers who went missing while trying to climb K-2, the world’s second-highest peak in Pakistan had said that ‘it is hard to believe but mountains are so much calm. Once you fall in love with them they will have you forever.’

Baaghi TV: Brave mountain champions John Sunori, JP Mohar and Ali Sadpara, who went missing while trying to climb the world’s second-highest peak K-2 in Pakistan had said that ‘the mountains have them forever. This reminds me of the Hollywood Movie (Vertical Limit).’

Climbers said it’s hard to believe, but the mountains are very calm. Once you fall in love with them, they will always be there for you.

As per reports, a rescue operation involving two Pakistan Army helicopters is still going on today (Monday) to search for three climbers trying to climb the K-2.

According to reports, Pakistani climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Iceland’s John Sunori and Chile’s young Pablo Mohar have been missing since Friday evening. Efforts are underway to find them but to no avail.

Chhang Dawa Sherpa, manager of the mountaineering guide company Seven Summit Tracks, which is present at the K-2 base camp, informed through his Facebook account that Army helicopters flew at an altitude of about 7,000 meters on Monday morning so that the missing climbers can be traced.

According to him, Lakpa Dendy and he toured the areas of which he is aware of. According to Dawa Sherpa, the upper surface of K-2 is completely covered with clouds and the visibility on the peak is very low.

According to reports, two of his relatives, Imtiaz and Akbar, have voluntarily embarked on a K-2 trip to search for the missing Pakistani climber Ali Sadpara. Both are talented climbers who have climbed K2 in the past.

He had helped Sajid Sadpara (Ali Sadpara’s son) to return to K-2 base camp. It should be noted that Sajid Sadpara was also a part of the climbing expedition with his father but due to poor oxygen regulator, he had to return to the base camp.

Meanwhile, Sajid Sadpara, son of Muhammad Ali Sadpara has said that whatever accident happened to his father and fellow mountaineers, it happened only after he reached the summit.

While talking to the media on his arrival in Skardu on Sunday, Sajid Sadpara said, “I think that Muhammad Ali Sadpara and his team had done a great job of ascending the K-2 in winter. Whatever happened to him, must have happened on his way back.”

Sajid Sadpara had also said that with extremely cold weather, the chances of a human being surviving for such a long time at an altitude of 8,000 meters are grim, but rescue operations should continue to find the body.
