Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif’s assets in excess of income, matter of NAB inquiry

Opposition leader Mian Shehbaz Sharif’s assets in excess of income are a matter of inquiry for National Accountability Bureau (NAB), confirm reports.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, since Chief Justice Qasim Khan did not constitute a new bench due to judicial holidays, the bail taken by Shehbaz Sharif will be automatically extended.

Mian Shehbaz Sharif will not appear in Lahore High Court today. The Lahore High Court has restrained NAB officials from arresting Mian Shehbaz Sharif till August 17th. The case of Mian Shehbaz Sharif will not be heard in the High Court next week due to non-availability of NAB bench.

At the last hearing, Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry apologized for hearing the Shehbaz Sharif case and extended bail till August 17. Additionally, Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry had sent the file to the Chief Justice recommending the formation of a new bench.

According to sources, lawyers for the parties in the Mian Shehbaz Sharif case have also filed various petitions for adjournment. Mian Shahbaz Sharif has approached the Lahore High Court for bail.
