JACOBABAD (19th Oct, 2019): Four newborns lost their lives at a private hospital in tehsil Thal of Jacobabad due to oxygen shortage.
According to details from victim’s parents, the newborns were left alone in the sensitive care ward overnight while the staff of hospital did not check the supply of oxygen. The parents were also not allowed to visit the newly born babies.
The families of the newborns were angered upon hearing the news of the death of their newly born children. SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi sealed the private clinic to control the situation.
On the other hand, the District Health Officer (DHO) expressed unawareness about the incident.
