The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has immediately canceled the appointment of Wing Commander Kamran Anjum, who was posted in Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on deputation.
According to the details, Kamran Anjum of PIA Human Resources & Administration Department was found guilty of sexually harassing a PIA employee Sana Waheed on April 15, 2019.
In a tweet, Safdar Anjum, General Secretary of PIA’s Officer Association, said that the appointment of Kamran Anjum has been immediately cancelled by the PAF.

The Senate Aviation Committee sent back Kamran Anjum after being found guilty of sexual harassment against a female officer and ordered departmental action against him, he said.

It is to be remembered that a female PIA employee wrote a letter to PAF Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan requesting him for action against Wing commander Kamran Anjum, currently posted in PIA on deputation, for sexually harassing and blackmailing her.

According to the reports of Baaghi TV, on August 13, 2020, a subcommittee of the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation met at the Parliament House to analyse the matter of Harassment at work place of Sana Waheed, Senior RTO of PIA.
According to the details, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer Kamran Anjum has been convicted of his crime and was found guilty for committing “Harassment At work place” after a long “In Camera Session” in Standing Committee meeting. However, till now the PIA management has not acted upon the directives, rather looked down upon the honorable forum.

It is to be noted that the PIA management was concerned about saving their PAF officer which is a grave offence. PIA and the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) are being dominated by former PAF officials, with the aviation sector treated as a retirement home for military men.
