In a span of about 11 months, Pakistan has achieved the target of complete vaccination of 70 million people, a large segment of the country’s population, against coronavirus.
According to the details, on February 1, 2021, after receiving a donation of 500,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine from China, the vaccination process in Pakistan officially started on February 3, 2021. Vaccination was first introduced for frontline workers, then gradually for different segments of the population.
To increase the trend of vaccination among the people, the government had made it mandatory for various places including workplaces, shopping centers, travel and offices.
