Islamabad: National Security Advisor Dr. Moeed Yousuf has said that Pakistan is being left alone to carry out an impossible task. The United States must come forward to make the Inter-Afghan talks a success.

National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf in an interview with a US TV channel that Pakistan cannot afford another civil war in Afghanistan. The land of Afghanistan is once again being used against Pakistan, he stated.

According to reports, he said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan kept saying that the talks should be held first. Imran Khan is the only leader who has been pushing for a political solution for 15 years.

He further said that the northern and western provinces of Afghanistan were the first to be captured by the Taliban. 70% of Afghanistan is under Taliban control, why would they stay here?

In answer to a question, he said the Afghan government has refused to install biometric systems along the border. Thousands of Afghans come to Pakistan every day, how will one know who is and isn’t a terrorist?
