Islamabad (25th July, 2019): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) reportedly staged a rally under leadership of Senator Azam Swati despite imposition of section 144 in the city.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, members of PTI have allegedly staged a rally enroute Islamabad to the airport, under leadership of Senator Azam Swati, despite the imposition of section 144 in the city. It has been reported that workers from different parts of the twin cities gathered at the airport for the rally upon the return of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan form his three-day diplomatic visit to the United States.
Reasoning for their rally, Senator Azam Swati confirmed that the reason behind imposing section 144 was to prohibit gathering of more than 5 people so as to avoid any malicious or suspicious activity. He continued to say that PTI had held a rally for the goodwill of Pakistan.
Moreover, Federal Minister of Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar Khan stated that Imran Khan’s visit to the US will ensure peace in the region as well as aiding in the resolution of the Kashmir issue.
