Aug 9, 2021: Federal Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari called the British decision to put Pakistan on the red list ridiculous and said that the British government was dominated by Indian lobbyists and admirers.
According to details, Federal Minister for Human Rights Shirin Mazari said in a statement on the social networking site Twitter,
“Ridiculous! UK govt, dominated by Indophiles & despite globally documented India’s continuing disastrous handling of Covid pandemic, moved India to Amber List but keeps Pak on Red; then under pressure from Opp MPs gives feeble excuse Pak didn’t share data.”
The Minister added, “Fact is UK govt never asked for data but it is publicly available as NCOC has the most centralised & daily updated data bases anywhere & data shared with UK HC. Earlier UK govt had given another excuse – that more Pak passengers than Indians tested positive! Shifting goalposts!”

It should be noted that the United Kingdom has announced that India will be removed from the red list of Delta variant of Corona virus, while Pakistan is included in this list, although the cases of Corona virus in Pakistan are much less than in India.
According to the British announcement, those coming from Pakistan will have to be quarantined in the hotel and from August 12, those coming from the red list countries will be charged extra money for quarantine.
Meanwhile, the British Department for Transport is of the view that the decision to put Pakistan on the red list was taken on the instructions of the Joint Biosecurity Center.
It may be recalled that the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had hinted at removing Pakistan from the red list and said that he was reviewing the statistics of Corona virus in Pakistan.
Naz Shah and Yasmeen Qureshi, both British MPs, has also sharply criticized the British government’s decision to put Pakistan on the red list of countries during the pandemic.
