Pakistani Actress Saniya Shamshad Gets Married, Public Trolls Husband
Lahore (26th July, 2019): Pakistani actress Saniya Shamshad recently got married when trolls decided to criticize her husband for not meeting the unofficial beauty standards.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, Pakistani actress Saniya Shamshad who is known for her work in television with series such as: Mera Saaein, Hiddat, Sadqay Tumharey and others, was recently trolled when pictures from her wedding surfaced. The Pakistani public thought it their basic human right to critique Saniya’s husband for not meeting the unofficial standards of beauty for men.
Saniya Shamshad’s husband got trolled for not being “fair and lovely”, according to reports.

Is it that important to be fair and lovely in our outer shell than to be this way in our interior? Let’s not forget the same happened when journalist Maria Memon got married. Her husband was also trolled for similar reasons. Somehow his character and his qualifications became directly proportional with his looks which the Pakistani public considered to be mediocre or less.

What is this obsession people of the Indo-Pak have with being fair? Who guarantees that being fair would make you a kind human being? Especially given the fact that people are being brought forward for all sorts of injustices, from being labeled a wife-beater, to a predator, men are being put forward for their wrongdoings. Instead of focusing on eradicating such issues from our society, is physical or outer beauty all we care about?
