ISLAMABAD, Feb 5 (APP): Federal Minister on Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Friday assured people of occupied Kashmir that they were not alone in their struggle and the whole Pakistani nation stood them in their struggle for right to self determination.
Talking to a Private news channel, he expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian occupied Kashmir suffering from Indian brutalities for last seven decades. He said Pakistan stood with the Kashmiris in the past and continue their support in future, adding that the “hearts of Pakistanis beat with innocent Kashmiris.”
He said freedom was the basic right of the oppressed Kashmiri people and sacrifices of thousands of Kashmiri people would soon bear fruit. He also saluted Martyr Kashmiri youth on occasion of ‘Kashmir Day’ and said the day would not be far away when Kashmiris would get freedom. Sheikh Rasheed urged the world community to support Kashmir cause as people of Kashmir were looking towards OIC and UN for their genuine legal right.
“Today, on Kashmir Solidarity day, we salute Kashmiris for their continued struggle against the illegal and barbaric Indian occupation of Jammu & Kashmir”, he added. “India is trying to convert Kashmir into ‘graveyard’ but Pakistan with its diplomatic efforts would not let India to convert Kashmir into graveyard”, he added.
He explained that Indian occupation forces continue oppression and brutalization of innocent Kashmiris through and inhuman military siege, communications blockade, cordon-and-search-operations, fake ‘encounters, extra-judicial killings of Kashmiri youth, use of pellet guns, and collective punishment of entire communities and neighborhoods.
