Pakistani pilgrims among those dead in bus crash in Madinah: FO

ISLAMABAD (17th Oct, 2019) : The Foreign Office has confirmed that Pakistanis were among those dead in Madinah (Saudia) bus accident.

According to statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that a passenger bus carrying 39 pilgrims from Riyadh to Makkah met an unfortunate accident near Madinah.

According to the statement, The FO further said that at least 35 passengers out of total 39 have died and initial reports shows that the deceased also include a certain number of Pakistani nationals.

It said that out of the four survivors in accident, there is one Pakistani named as Akbar, who is seriously injured.

“The Pakistan Consulate General in Jeddah has established contact with him and is in touch with the concerned Saudi authorities and staff of the King Fahad Hospital, Madinah to ascertain details of casualties of Pakistani nationals,” Foreign Office said in a statement.
