The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has presented its requests to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) regarding the departure to England.
Baaghi TV reports that there has been a telephonic conversation between officials of the PCB and the ECB regarding the upcoming tour that ended on a positive note. The PCB has presented its requests and hopes for a complete response regarding arrangements by the end of this week. The ECB has agreed with the need for insurance for the Pakistani players during their tour.
Sources say that the ECB will arrange insurance for the air travel, COVID19 fears, and any potential terrorist activity in the ground or the hotel. There will be full insurance for the group of 43 that will travel to England, and the premium will be paid by the ECB.
The PCB itself will handle the usual injury and financial loss insurance for its players. The PCB will cover insurance for injuries, match fees, and various other financial setbacks.
If any Pakistani player gets infected with COVID-19 during the tour or any terrorist activity takes place in the ground or the hotel that affects any player, the cost will be covered by the insurance provided by the ECB.
Sources say that financial setbacks during the tour will be covered and and if any player suffers such a setback, or has to go through expensive treatment, the cost of that will also be covered by the insurance company.
Due to the corona virus the PCB has saved crores of rupees by closing a profitable deal with the ECB. Pakistan will not pay crores of rupees of costs for the tour.
