Head of the opposition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and Former Prime Minister and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif , had a telephone conversation.
According to sources, the two leaders discussed the current political situation. Sources said that Nawaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the government giving tough time in parliament and unity of opposition parties.
Sources said the two leaders agreed to increase pressure on the government inside and outside parliament.
According to sources, Nawaz Sharif assured Fazlur Rehman that he would support whatever the PDM decides on the long march.
On this occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that giving more time to the government would be an injustice to the people and the country.
It may be recalled that the opposition alliance PDM is protesting against inflation and protests are being staged in different parts of the country.
