Lahore: The World Bank in its third party report on Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has termed the institution as a low cost model for education promotion.

The report states that per capita expenditure in PAF’s partner schools is one-fourth that of public sector schools.  Asad Naeem, MD, PEF said that the World Bank, through a third party, conducted a survey of partner schools linked to PAF’s educational projects including Foundation Assisted School Program, Education Voucher Scheme and New School Program.
The report states that PAF’s public-private partnership model is the best model and PAF’s educational services are commendable and that the PEF is providing quality education to children at a much lower cost than other educational institutions.
The MD PAF said that the PAF quality assurance and control mechanism has been rated as the best among all other educational projects.
According to the report, PAF team has achieved all the objectives of Punjab Education Sector Project III in a very efficient manner with very a little work force.
It should be noted that quality assurance test is taken every year for the schools affiliated to PAF, which is an important measure of the quality of education of the PEF.
The MD said that PAF does not compromise on the quality of education. “While all educational institutions were closed due to the Corona epidemic, the courses in PAF schools were reduced and quality assurance test was taken in which the success rate was 95%. More than 600,000 out-of-school children have been enrolled in PAF schools in one year,” he said.

Asad Naeem said that PAF has also published its annual report this time which was delayed for the last four years.
“The report details PAF’s one-year performance. PAF’s school monitoring system is excellent.  Schools have been monitored five times this year and are now being monitored for the sixth time.  Regular monitoring of schools has significantly reduced child absenteeism,” he added.
The MD said that strong links have been established with PAF Partners through circulars, SMS and messages on social media to bridge the communication gap.
