PIA crew and passengers mistreated at Lahore Airport

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been striving really hard over the last few months to bring back Pakistanis who are stranded abroad through a series of special flights amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Coronavirus has terrified the entire world, yet PIA pilots and staff are putting their lives at risk and flying to bring back the stranded Pakistanis to their homeland.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the national carrier is facing issues during the quarantine period of its pilots and aviation staff in Lahore.

Baaghi TV has learnt that in a recent flight from Birmingham to Lahore via Doha, the PIA staff was mistreated after they landed in Lahore. As per the reports, the pilots, cabin crew and even the passengers had to wait for approximately an hour to get their COVID-19 tests done as there were no doctors available at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

Lab fails to implement SOPs, mistreats PIA officials

PIA Flight PK 8303: Some unanswered questions

After taking the samples, people were sent to quarantine as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). It is to be noted that the national carrier staff and passengers were asked to wait for their reports for 24-36 hours which will be sent on their given mobile contact.

Usually the lab is able to determine if you’ve acquired the coronavirus within hours but the test reports of PIA pilots and passengers took ages by the doctors working at the Lahore airport.

As per the reports received by Baaghi TV, it has been over 52 hours that the staff is waiting for their report. At first, the staff was told to remain in self isolation until their report comes, and they can leave the premises if their reports are not given after 24 hours.

PIA in misery as NIH, Marriot make money with both hands

Massive Corruption by PIA management unveiled…

According to the reports, it is the decision of National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad that if someone didn’t get his/her report after 24 hours, he/she should consider it negative.

Isn’t it funny that they are playing with the lives of people in the name of their so-called SOPs?

PIA and its staff members are struggling really hard to bring back home people stuck in different parts of the world due to COVID-19 induced global lockdown.

The Punjab government and Provincial Minister of Health, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, should take notice against the doctors and paramedical staff who are responsible for the misery to PIA staff.
