PIA flight takes 100 passengers from Lahore to Karachi

After partial resumption of domestic flight operations, the first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight left Lahore for Karachi amid COVID-19.

After partial restoration, PIA’s flight PK-8305 left Karachi for Lahore with 100 passengers on board, according to the PIA spokesman.

PIA operates a two-way flight daily from Lahore to Karachi and one from Islamabad to Karachi. However, there will be a weekly flight from Lahore and Islamabad to Quetta.

Furthermore, two flights will be operated per week from Karachi to Quetta and one flight weekly from Karachi to Peshawar.

PIA is strictly following the SOPs and a seat is being left vacant among passengers to maintain a social distance during flights. The national flag carrier is flying while fulfilling its national duty.

PIA flight left Karachi for Lahore with 84 passengers on board

Passengers also thanked the Government of Pakistan and their flag bearer for reviving the domestic flights.

It is pertinent to mention here that the first domestic flight took off after 51 days in the country earlier today. PIA flight carrying 84 passengers left Karachi for Lahore, on this occasion, full-proof security measures were taken to prevent the coronavirus.

The partial resumption of flights has made it easier for passengers to travel between the country’s major cities of Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore. Due to the cancellation of flights, a large number of passengers were stranded in different cities of the country.

Full security measures were taken at the airport to stop the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, the national airline staff and management is constantly engaged in passenger service, says the PIA spokesman.
