PIA to increase insurance amounts for PK-8303 crash victims

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) finds a technicality to increase insurance amounts for the Karachi plane crash victims that took place on May 22, 2020. Sources reveal that PIA’s legal and insurance teams have found out a technicality through which they will be able to double the existing insurance coverage to the PK-8303 crash victims from existing 5 million per passenger to 10 million per passenger. According to the details, this will be in addition to the 1 million per passenger already paid by the national carrier in terms of burial charges. The report has now been submitted to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PIA, Arshad Malik for concurrence.
