PIA’s flight operation suspended

LAHORE, Oct 15: The flight operation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), disrupted due to the suspension of fuel supplies.

The PIA flight number PK-305 (Lahore-Karachi) and PK-652 (Lahore-Islamabad) were stopped at Allama Iqbal Airport Lahor, following the suspension of fuel supplies by state owned Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

The spokesperson of National Flag Carrier said in a statement that PSO has also suspended supplies in Karachi to the national Airline. The administration of both national institutions are urgently holding talks over the matter, the spokesperson said.

Earlier in November last year PSO had suspended fuel supply to the national Airline over its failure to payment of the dues, which affected the airline’s flight operation badly, causing difficulties to passengers.
