Vermont: Two people were seriously injured when a plane crashed in an area of ​​the US state of Vermont.

According to foreign media, the incident took place on Thursday in the Morris Town area of ​​the state of Vermont, the police said that two people were seriously injured in the incident and they are being treated in the hospital.

According to local police, both of the injured are from New York, but their identities are currently being withheld, as their families have not yet been contacted.

The injured were airlifted to Vermont University Hospital by helicopter. Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men were flying the plane, during which they returned to practice touch-and-landing (immediately after landing on the runway). Police said it looked like they were trying to land on a runway or a nearby lawn when the plane crashed.

When police arrived at the scene, both were seriously injured, firefighters cut off the body of the plane and pulled them out, and the injured were taken to hospital within 15 minutes of the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was a single-engine Cessna 170, parked at Morrisville Stowe State Airport.
