3 June, 2021: Prime Minister Imran Khan talked about his green initiatives and said whenever he talked about the importance of climate change and environment, people used to laugh at his point.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, addressing the Green Financing Innovation Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Climate Change, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he asked the nation to take part in the tree planting campaign in the country.
PM Imran Khan said that we have set a target of planting 10 billion trees, the process of planting 10 billion trees will be completed with public support, we have to give a clean Pakistan to our descendants, we have also started a tree planting campaign in desert areas. Planting trees in desert areas is a matter of time, clean environment is essential for future generations. People are now happy and motivated about tree planting campaigns in the country. He said forests are essential for environmental protection and to minimize effects of climate change.
Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that the incidence of forest fires in Australia and the US state of California is increasing, it is very important to increase national parks and plant trees, the country needs trees now, everyone has a role to play in preventing global warming. At the same time, improving the environment is important for future generations.
