3 June, 2021: In person schooling of matriculation and intermediate students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa educational institutions has been restored.
BaaghiTV: According to the details, the Education Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced the date of Matric and Intermediate examinations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Minister Akbar Ayub Khan said that the 10th and 12th examinations will start from July 12.
It may be recalled that Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood had announced yesterday that examinations would be compulsory this year while papers of only core subjects for ninth and tenth classes would be taken. Talking to media after the meeting of inter-provincial education ministers, Shafqat Mahmood said that all the decisions taken at the education ministers’ conference were unanimous.
He had said that it was not easy for any government to close educational institutions. Decisions regarding educational institutions were taken in consultation with all the provinces while in case of an epidemic, the decision to open educational institutions was not easy. The Minister of Education had announced that the examination of 9th and 10th class would be held in elective subjects and mathematics while the examination of 11th and 12th class would also be held in elective subjects only.
The Federal Minister for Education said that the examinations would now be held from July 10 instead of June 24, first for Inter and then for Matriculation papers. The Education Minister said that the board has also been asked to keep a break in the pamphlets so that the children can have adequate time to prepare. Shafqat Mahmood also announced the opening of schools and colleges for the ninth and eleventh classes.
