PM Imran Khan expected to address nation soon

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is expected to address the nation soon on rapid effects of global inflation, as reported by sources.

According to Baaghi TV sources, the PM address will be around the context of global inflation on Pakistan. However, it is not confirmed when will it take place. It has also been reported that geopolitical tensions in the wake of Russia-Ukraine conflict could have an impact on Pakistan’s economy.

Government reduces price of petroleum products

“During the last one week, oil and wheat prices in the international market have surged by 12-15%. Meanwhile, global insurance companies have raised war surcharges on shipping companies,” the sources added.

They warned that the ongoing geopolitical situation could lead to a new wave of inflation around the world. It should be noted that petrol prices have already increased to almost Rs. 160 per litre and more is expected to shoot in the coming days, amid Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The context of PM’s address is likely to highlight important details regarding Prime Minister’s last visit to Russia.
