TLP Long March: Islamabad Police Releases Traffic Alert

Banned TLP chief Saad Rizvi’s Detention, Federal Review Board’s Big Decision

Earlier, the PM recalled Home Minister Sheikh Rashid in view of the current situation in the country. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed arrived in Islamabad on an Air Blue flight PA213 from Sharjah to Islamabad. However, due to the beginning of the march towards Islamabad by the TLP and the fierce clashes, Sheikh Rashid had to return. According to informed sources, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed returned. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had agreed with the banned party, that the expulsion of the French ambassador would be discussed in parliament. And the arrested workers will be released. After this agreement, the workers were released but Hafiz Saad Rizvi is still in jail and the government is not releasing Hafiz Saad Rizvi despite the court decisions.

TLP has demanded the government to fulfill the agreement reached with us, expel the French ambassador and release Hafiz Saad Rizvi, the head of the party, if the government gives Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan its constitutional right. Even if we try to stop its use, the government itself will be responsible for the serious situation in the country.

It is to be noted that Tehreek-e-Labaik was banned by the government. Hafiz Saad Rizvi, son of Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, was arrested on April 12 from Scheme Morh Chowk, Lahore. Police protested against Hafiz Saad Rizvi on April 16. Detained to stop because his talks with the government had failed and the movement to deport the French ambassador refused to back down.

After the arrest of Saad Rizvi, there was a commotion all over the country and the government banned TLP. The party has filed an appeal against the ban on which the government will decide. Hafiz Saad is still in jail and his party is prohibited.
