PM recommends youth to read ‘Lost Islamic History’ during lockdown

Prime Minister Imran Khan has recommended reading “Lost Islamic History” to the youth during lockdown imposed due to COVID-19, which has claimed 385 lives across the country.

The prime minister took to twitter and suggested an excellent brief history book named “The Lost Islamic History.”

The prime minister said the book is an excellent brief history of the driving force that made Islamic civilisation the greatest of its time and then the factors behind its decline.

The book ‘Lost Islamic History’ by Firas Khateeb elucidates on how Islam and Muslims around the world cultivated peace, promoted universal values, and dialogue among civilisations.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan have risen to 17,439 on Friday after new infections were confirmed in the country. However, the nation-wide death tally stands near 385 with most of the deaths reported from Sindh and Punjab.

Earlier, the prime minister said that Pakistan’s situation in terms of coronavirus was much better than the other countries. Commenting on a new programme, he announced that the government had started working on a new programme for unemployed people.
