PML-N leader to appear before NAB, social media trend initiated ‘Against Pressure on NAB’

PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on March 26th, according to reports of Baaghi TV.

PDM has announced that on March 26th, PDM workers will also appear before NAB in support of Maryam Nawaz. PML-N has also instructed its workers to reach NAB. Earlier, when Maryam Nawaz appeared before the NAB, there was a commotion and a case was registered against her. Consequently, on the eve of Maryam Nawaz’s appearance, there is a fear that the situation will deteriorate, following which NAB has requested that the area be declared a red zone, which has been granted.

A trend has been initiated on Twitter against taking PML-N workers for Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before NAB. The social media users are expressing their feelings by using the hashtag #against pressure on NAB’. One user said that the institutions should set up their own writ or else the confidence of the people in the power of the state would be shaken.

Punjab government has approved NAB office area as red zone, as well as approved deployment of Rangers and police outside NAB office and its environs for 2 days. According to reports, Punjab government has written letter to federal interior ministry to hire Rangers. On the other hand, PML-N National Assembly member Rana Sanaullah said that the NAB summoned Maryam Nawaz on the direction of the government. Maryam Nawaz’s NAB appearance should not be obstructed, NAB is subordinate to Shehzad Akbar, not the institution of justice.

Capt. R. Safdar, husband of Maryam Nawaz, said, “I am not afraid. I will defend the Constitution of Pakistan. Hospitals and universities can be established from NAB offices. NAB has always protected dictatorship. We respect all institutions. Maryam Nawaz will definitely appear before the NAB”.

It should be noted that earlier, along with Maryam Nawaz, Maulana Fazlur Rehman used to say that where do these rulers want to take this country and nation? Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that Maryam Nawaz’s slogan of taking the workers to NAB on March 26th is a proof of irrationality as she is already facing lawsuits for throwing stones at NAB.
