Lahore, 24th August: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh General Secretary and former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has resigned from the party.

According to local newspaper Jang News, Miftah Ismail has sent his resignation to PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif while the former finance minister has said that he has resigned due to the behavior of some officials and workers of Karachi.

As per reports, Miftah Ismail has dispatched a copy of his resignation to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.

Sources said that he was disappointed over the lack of action by party leadership against the people vandalizing the party’s office in Karachi in a recent incident.

He said that a few days ago the PML-N workers had used vulgar words in the PML-N House and resigned for all these reasons.

It may be recalled that Miftah Ismail worked as Finance Minister during the last tenure of PML-N and also contested by-election in NA-249 on a party ticket.

Earlier, Baaghi TV reported that SAPM on finance and revenue, Dr. Waqar Masood tendered his resignation to the prime minister on Tuesday over growing differences with the Finance Minsiter Shaukat Tarin.
