Lahore, 18th April: Workers of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) carried out severe clashes with police personnel in Lahore. According to Baaghi TV’s report, five policemen were abducted during an operation to evacuate banned Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) protesters at Lahore’s Yateem Khana Chowk in the early hours today. The clashes arose when police launched an operation to clear around Yateem Khana Chowk where TLP activists have been staging a protest since early this week. Shafiq Amini, a spokesman for the banned party, said in a video message, “police forces suddenly attacked us at the Lahore Markaz at 8 am today, killing a large number of our workers and injuring several others.” He added that they will bury those who got killed only when the French ambassador is expelled out of the country and their agreement with the government is implemented.
