Polling continues in National and Provincial Assembly constituencies, PML-N accused of rigging
According to Baaghi TV reports, polling is underway for by-elections in two constituencies of the National and Provincial Assemblies. A tough contest is expected between PML-N and PTI in NA-75 Daska and PP-51 Gujranwala. The Punjab Assembly seat PP-51 was vacated due to the death of PML-N MPA Shaukat Manzoor Cheema and the PML-N has nominated Shaukat Manzoor Cheema’s widow, Begum Talat Manzoor Cheema. Meanwhile, the PTI has fielded Chaudhry Muhammad Yusuf. The Jamaat-e-Islami candidate is Nasir Mahmood. The PML-N had won the seat by a margin of more than 31,000 votes during the general elections.
